Thank you for visiting the Gion Kagai Art Museum.

Due to preparations for the Onshukai public dance performance, Kyomai dance performances and photo sessions with a geiko or maiko will not be available on Saturday, September 28, 2024. Visitors will still be able to enjoy the permanent exhibit on Kagai culture and all other contents will be available as per usual.

Although the museum would normally be closed on Wednesday, October 2, it will be exceptionally open as it is the first day of the Onshukai public dance performance. We regret to inform visitors that Kyomai dance performances and photo sessions with a geiko or maiko will not be available this day.

The museum will be open as per usual as of Thursday, October 3. We apologize for this inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.

The general admission fee will be discounted from 1,600 yen to 1,000 yen on September 28 and October 2.
